BigFix is an absolute monster when it comes to enterprise-scale patching and endpoint management. If you need to manage a massive, highly distributed environment with a weird mix of windows, Linux, and legacy Unix boxes, nothing else really touches it. The speed at which it can query endpoints and push updates is incredible once you actually get the relay architecture Application Deplyoment dialed in. However, the onboarding and daily administration are incredibly dense. This is not a standard point-and-click patching tool; it requires serious engineering effort to maintain, and the proprietary scripting language you have to learn is a massive hurdle for new team members.
