Our managers and workforce were used to the Workday interface, so incorporating the Time and Scheduling hub made sense when we looked to update our absence management system. The ability to see at a glance who is clocked in (or not) as well as leave tracking makes it easy to use as a manager but also as an employee. We have heard positive feedback from our managers on accuracy, reporting, and ease-of use.

We have been using Personio for HR management and overall the experience has been very positive. The system is easy to use and quite intuitive, especially for leave tracking and employee data management. Workflows help us standardize internal processes and reduce manual work. Reporting works well for our main needs, and absence tracking is clear for both employees and managers. The interface is clean and most employees were able to start using it without much training. What could be improved is flexibility in some reports and customisations. Sometimes advanced reporting requires extra work. Also, the initial set up takes time if you want everything aligned with internal policies. Overall Personio has helped us organize our HR and company processes better and increase transparency across the company.

We have been pleased with our move to the Pulpstream platform. We moved from Presagia, a software that was discontinued in 2024. After looking at several different vendors we selected Pulpstream for its UI and ease of use, functionality provided, and the price point. It was important for us to have file feeds for LOA and attendance records from our HRIS to Pulpstream, as well as a system that could run our company-level leave policies concurrently with Federal and State regulations. We also needed as system that would allow us to generate the monthly billing invoices for medical benefit premiums for our union employees. It has streamlined the entire process, given us many hours of transactional time back, and enabled us to keep the leave process in-house. This last item was also important to us. Outsourcing would not only have been more expensive, but also much less personal. When an employee or a family member is seriously ill, they should get a little handholding. Pulpstream helps us do just that.

Calamari is a rather simple and straightforward system that factors in various labor laws and custom leave policies per company. It's really nice to have leave requests and approvals occur in an automatic process flow. However, project tracking is rather limited and report customization is lacking as well.
