WHat I like most about Personio is how easy it is to use for both HR and employees. The interface is clear and simple, so people can manage their leave requests and personal data without confusion. I also appreciate the workflow automation. It helps us standardize approvals and reduce manual follow up. This saves time and makes processes more transparent.
All in one tool - I like that the tool has the possibility to have all the information in one place and that each person can access depending on their role. Easy to use - although it is getting harder and more complicated to do some tasks, it is still easy to use. Workflows - it is not perfect but it is adding great value to the tool
- The platform is easy to use - All in 1 HR Solutions - The automations and reminders help us stay on top of things
One of the main limitations is reporting flexibility. The standard reports works well, but when you need more specific data, it could be difficult to customise them exactly as you want. Some configurations feel a bit rigid, especially if you have more complex internal policies.
- The dashboard has recently changed and the general overview of the company is gone - so you can only see birthdays, absences and open workflows and requests are no longer available. - Linked-in job posts all come onsite - this is a huge deal breaker and has had a great negative impact on our recruitment process as a fully remote company. - Slack integration is very basic, absence is confusing and there is no live update on the channel - also requests are not possible to reply from slack. There are a few other notes, but those are the most important ones
Playroll Flexibility is limited and not 100% adaptable to all markets/countries. Incorrect Salary reporting for Part-times Slack integration is significantly behind than other systems Performance is getting better but is still on a beginning phase Compensation modules need to improve, add a step for calibration from leadership and informing the TLs afterwords for example - we need to change the actual value from the manager proposal

We have been using Personio for HR management and overall the experience has been very positive. The system is easy to use and quite intuitive, especially for leave tracking and employee data management. Workflows help us standardize internal processes and reduce manual work. Reporting works well for our main needs, and absence tracking is clear for both employees and managers. The interface is clean and most employees were able to start using it without much training. What could be improved is flexibility in some reports and customisations. Sometimes advanced reporting requires extra work. Also, the initial set up takes time if you want everything aligned with internal policies. Personio has the potential to be an amazing HRIS but the updates continue to make the tool less usable and the constant feedback is not being heard or fixed. It is an average tool, as it works, does the requestes, but it is not what we were hoping for.
