Product Information on IBM Cloud

Updated 13th October 2025

What is IBM Cloud?

IBM Cloud is a software platform offering a range of cloud computing services, including infrastructure as a service, platform as a service, and software as a service. It provides solutions for deploying and managing virtual servers, databases, and machine learning models, as well as tools for application development, security, and monitoring. The software supports various workloads such as artificial intelligence, data analytics, and container orchestration through integrated services like Kubernetes and serverless computing. IBM Cloud addresses business challenges related to scalability, resource optimization, compliance, and digital transformation by enabling organizations to develop, run, and manage applications in public, private, or hybrid cloud environments.

IBM Cloud Pricing

IBM Cloud software uses a pay-as-you-go pricing model, allowing users to pay based on actual usage across various compute, storage, and cloud services. Fixed monthly or annual subscription plans are available for certain offerings, and custom enterprise agreements can be arranged for large-scale or specialized requirements.

Consistent data syncing and successful DR tests with IBM cloud

We have been using Other cloud for long for our SAP DR (Disaster Recovery) Setup but not satisfied at all because when the need came to recover the data it was not available to us. It caused the loss of time and data. Then we shifted our DR setup to IBM cloud which offered us a seamless two way data sync facility. which we tested twice a year and found the result satisfactory.

IBM Cloud Likes & Dislikes

Like

Seamless integration of the Cloud setup with our on-premise SAP setup which has never gone out of sync since we implemented the solution. We are an ISO certified organization and as per that we have to test the record the DR Failover Test. Post the IBM cloud adoption we were able to successfully test the failover and takeover process which has given us the peace of mind that in case of any eventuality our defined RTO and RPO can be achived.
