Performance of IBM Cloud Across Market Features
IBM Cloud Likes & Dislikes
Most IBM Cloud services we use are based on open-source software but with IBM managed layer. For us, this means that finding documentation and best practices tends to be quick. It also means that we can maintain a high development velocity by having local instances of the underlying service during development. This also means no vendor lock-in. Another major benefit we enjoy with IBM Cloud is its strong presence and industry know-how in the financial institution sector, which provides us as an application builder the ability to focus on delivering value to our clients quickly while still meeting security and compliance requirements.
Read Full ReviewPretty straight forward and easy to use. Separate IAM console to manage all the users under the account.
Read Full ReviewSo far we have not seen any major items of IBM Cloud that we dislike. If anything, it is relatively costly compared to similar cloud providers but the benefits that IBM Cloud provides to us; the trust it provides to our financial institution clients, the high level of security and compliance outweighs the weaknesses.
Read Full ReviewSometimes the products such as Cloud Pak for Data virtualization services would go down with no clear explanation except the backend database needed to be rebooted. Also hard to get specific support sometimes when necessary. No initial support for query banding with Teradata and no LDAP support with MongoDB. IAM security also too simplistic. Need a more robust and granular IAM system for management across the Cloud.

IBM Cloud Services is a good choice for hosting modern self-built cloud native applications and IBM is a true partner in the field of translating tech to solutions
The good thing about IBM Cloud is the ability to select, set up and use the services yourself. Some services are more mature than others. We are especially happy with the Code Engine (scalable ad on-demand Kubernetes) service. - PROJECT MANAGER<50M USDManufacturingReview Source
Exceptional Performance and Complete Dedication from the IBM Teams
IBM Cloud has mitigated all risks we had with aging on-premises equipment. Performance is exceptional and the end users are delighted. We've been live for 9-months so far and have not had any significant technical issues. In terms of total cost of ownership, IBM Cloud was the lowest cost of all the scenarios we reviewed in detail when planning replacement of the legacy hardware. Update: We have been live for over 4-years now. In that time we have not had any major issues, no P1 issues and no outages. The service is totally reliable and still performs exceptionally well. IBM continues to provide excellent customer support for the minor configuration changes needed from time to time.
