My overall experience with Datadog Cloud Cost Management has been positive. It provides a centralized & detailed view of cloud spending, which has been very helpful in understanding how costs are growing and where optimizations are needed. The platform fits well with other Datadog services & gives reliable insights into cloud usage & cost trends. What has worked well: 1) Datadog provides a clear picture into cloud costs across different services, accounts & environments. Its tag-based filters make it easy to understand where the money is being spent. 2) Since it works within the same Datadog platform used for logs, metrics & performance monitoring, cloud cost insights feel connected to real operational data. 3) Seeing trends over time along with projected costs helps with better budget planning & clear decision making. What hasn't worked well or could be improved: 1) While the insights are strong, it takes some time to understand all the cost features & how best to use filters, tags & dashboards. For new users, the interface is not always intuitive right away. 2) The tool shows where the money is being spent but doesn't always provide specific recommendations for optimization without integrating with external or third party cost optimization services. The tool provides details on the overall cloud spend and cost optimization recommendations in a single view, which is really good for planning for optimizations. Faced challenges with Cloud Recommendation feature 1. The new UI is difficult for some users to find where the option is to 'exclude/mark done' the recommendations. 2. Observed in many cases that after marking an item as 'Done' from the recommendation, it does not remove it from the recommendation 3. When an action is taken upon a recommendation in the Cloud account and not marked as 'Done' in the Anodot, it does not track or mention the savings achieved for such cases. The product could also include custom parameters on which I want to see my cloud infra stands. for ex. how many high-cost vs low cost EC2s, if I can define high and low cost.Read all insights and reviews for Umbrella

Vantage makes our cloud spending data more accessible to our team and gives us usage data from within our Kubernetes clusters to estimate the cost of workloads. Because Vantage can pull cost data from both AWS and Azure we can create reports that show cross-cloud spend. In some cases the offerings are more complete on AWS than Azure - for example the Autopilot feature is AWS only. One of the key roles of this software is cost control. This allows the IT and finance team to manage the expenses of each department such as Front office, reservations, housekeeping department, sales department, guest occupancy which allows the operations to understand were the utilization is required and were we need to focus more. This software also helps us in budget planning and forecasting, which is an essential element for my organization to analyze the occupancy and needs of the guest; it also provides streamlined resources by identifying the idle resources and allows the organization to focus more on the product which is required for the organization and helps in reducing the over cost. Overall, ServiceNow Cloud Cost Management is the most valuable tool for the organization as it helps the finance team to control the budget and allows them to work on decision making and align IT cost with organizational goals.
