The product is worry free. There's rarely any sort of alert received unlike other vendors where you receive random alerts that you have to 'google' just to see what they are related to. We get the random disk failure and that's about it. Services are top notch! Super quick responses if we have to open Service Requests. Many times, they reach out to us before we even receive any indication there was an alert. They have already started working on a case for us proactively. We generally close these SR's on the same day. Weekly calls to review upgrades and open service requests - even if there are none. In the past year the service has gotten so advanced, they've reached out to us before an minor issue and let us know of an issue before it happens. Yes, these are rare, but it goes to show that their internal team is always monitoring and cares for the well being of the customer base. This happened twice. Both times they called me to tell me. The communication skills of the remote support engineers can't be beat. They communicate effectively both in writing and on support calls (usually not needed). I've never experienced a support engineer picking up a ticket and then leaving for the day either like we have experienced with other vendors. What's more, it's usually the same ones you recognize from previous cases - not some stranger asking questions.
ease of management, responsive support team
Price per TB (especially with performance also considered) is excellent. Our technical support team is knowledgeable and always willing to help. Write throughput is much better than some other even all flash arrays. Management is relatively simple, especially when compared to other vendors' high performance arrays. I also like the Infiniverse tool. The Gen3 array has increased the amount of performance capacity we can provision on these arrays. It is keeping up with some very massive throughput workloads. We now have some Gen4 all flash arrays as well, but we still are extending a good number of our hybrid Gen3 arrays.
There really isn't anything dislike here. Infinidat has it all figured out from the product to the customer support. I can't believe it's this good and easy to support. They make our job much easier.
That you can't expand capacity, have to buy a whole new unit to add storage capacity
Random read miss latency on the hybrid array makes this platform not a good fit for a small number of our internally written applications that are very read latency sensitive. I believe that will be resolved with their all flash offering. I wish I didn't have to do a forklift upgrade to get to the next version, but their array to array copy / migration process makes that not too big of an effort.

Infinidat has really made storage management easy. They have developed a slick architecture paired with a super simple GUI. On top of that, the API and API guide are the easiest to use out of all the storage products I've used. We leverage the API's to do many of the tasks we used to do manually. They have now released SMB features that we started using. The performance is amazing - we can copy 14TB files, on to/off, of in just a few hours. This feature has really helped us with several business needs for fast and reliable SMB / file shares. In addition, they have released a migration tool that allows easy migration of block storage from one array to another in the same data center. It's very fast and easy to use. It takes all the busy work of creating target side hosts/clusters/volumes and does it all - then it migrates the data over live. We've been able to migrate several TB datasets in just a few hours. With this latest code release, snaphot technology is now offered and it's so simple to use. Infinidat has also made it possible to replicate these snapshots to other Infinidats for even more security. This technology was recently used to migrate an entire datacenter from one region to another with no issues. Infinidat has created a simple, performant storage pillar
I've used this product for many years and remember the "best thing since sliced bread" presentation that was given to me regarding the performance capabilities of this array. I was obviously skeptical because other array vendors had made similar promises in the past only to fail after load increased. However, after several years I became a true believer as we ramped up the load on the arrays with minimal performance challenges. It still surprises me that they have been able to increase the internal disk size as much as they have. Infinidat SAN Delivers Reliable Scalability and Minimal Maintenance Over Six Years
We've owned our current Infinidat SAN for about 7 years, and we're upgrading to a new Infinibox SSA G4 system. The current system has met our expectations for performance, availability, capacity, and ease of use. When looking to refresh this current system, we evaluated many vendors to find the one that could best address our ever-growing storage needs across multiple platforms. We again selected Infinidat because of its proven history and because it best suited our business requirements: a secure, unified storage platform; scalability to multi-petabyte levels in a small footprint; on-demand capacity purchase options; and high availability with seven nines, SLAs. Our experience with service and support has been excellent, with ongoing project management and frequent communications touchpoints with a dedicated Infinidat technical advisor. An amazing machine that gives you confidence and peace of mind!
My experience with this product is excellent, Starting with a good price and then installing and migrating from the old system to this system, I got excellent system performance, beyond my expectations even, and of course zero faults for over 10 years. and because we are concerned about cyber threats, we use Infinisafe. This is an excellent solution to improve the cyber resilience of our storage. I replaced the system with a newer one this year, and it just went smoothly and quickly. I got fast performance and new information security features. I am very very satisfied.
