The cloud part of the product is probably the best, the old Ivanti was very difficult to use and for remote machines the gateway appliance did not work very well, neurons has resolved this and we are seeing better success when deploying patches and managing our vulnerabilites

What I like most about Ivanti Neurons for ITAM is its centralized visibility of IT assets and strong reporting capabilities.It provides clear insight into hardware and software inventory,license compliance,and asset lifecycle status.The automation features also reduce manual workload and improve operational efficiency.

Ivanti Neurons for ITAM There are a few areas where I've noticed limitations. Our organization found the initial setup and configuration to be complex. The learning curve for non-technical users can also be steep in the early stages, especially for teams transitioning from spreadsheets or simpler tools, as the platform's depth and automation features require familiarity to leverage effectively. In addition to real-time data, accuracy is largely dependent on how well integrations like discovery tools and third-party systems are implemented and maintained; without proper updates, gaps in visibility can still occur.

The agents break pretty often and it has become a part of the job to fix these agents on daily, weekly basis to ensure a healthy environment.

We've been running Ivanti Neurons for ITAM for just over a year across around 800 endpoints. It replaced a mix of spreadsheets and disconnected tools, so the improvement was immediate. Onboarding was straightforward and the ITSM integration didn't cause major issues. Reporting customisation could be more flexible but overall it does what we need.
