1. Advanced segmentation and personalisation. It's easy to create targeted flows based on customer behaviour and purchase history, which significantly improves engagement. 2. String e-commerce integrations. Shopify and the third-party applications we use seamlessly connect to Klaviyo which ensures smooth and accurate campaigns and real-time data. 3. Flow-builder and automation. The drag-and-drop builder is intuitive and makes it super simple to set up and edit existing or new customer journeys and we don't need devs! 4. Data-rich analytics. Clear revenue attribution and performance tracking for campaigns and automations is pretty much spot on.
There are a lot of built in, out of the box, solutions for Shopify that make it an amazing time/performance saver.
The platform is very intuitive and easy to use for any level of CRM team member. The help guides and training is so thorough that you can learn the platform pretty much by yourself, but the CSM is always available and answer quickly if you have any queries or need help.
1. The list builder can be slow sometimes when building larger lists. We use large datasets, in the hundreds of thousands and this will often slow down our workflow on Klaviyo. Klaviyo builds the in background and prepares exports in the background, but sometimes we just need to get stuff done quicker. 2. Pricing scales up as lists/profiles grow, but nonetheless it can become very costly, and although email marketing is profitable to our bottom line, competitors to Klaviyo are priced (sometimes substantially) lower. 3. Some advanced features require a very steep learning curve. There's a lot of nuances to segmentation building for example and it can get confusing fast. Klaviyo's AI feature to help you build segments helps, but it can often get it wrong and unless you know what you're looking it - if you rely too heavily on the AI-built segment, you'll get the wrong results.
Once you move past its built-in support for Shopify, it can be challenging to implement anything custom.
I have always said I'd like to see more from the Push Notification side of Klaviyo, I think sometimes when things are launched in infancy it can be good to start testing but also just leaves me wanting more
