The best thing about Klaviyo is the flexibilityvia events, segments, and flows, you can accomplish so much. The API is incredibly resilient and fairly easy to use as well. The user interface (although constantly being tweaked) is usable by the marketing team too.
There are a lot of built in, out of the box, solutions for Shopify that make it an amazing time/performance saver.
The main things I love the most about Klaviyo are the easy to use email builder. From loading into a blank email to where you can take it is incredible. The customisations are endless and something so simple like compressing an image for the email is such a big help.
The most frustrating day-to-day part of Klaviyo is the fact that the UI/UX is always changing. It seems like at least once a month there's an update that makes you say wait, where did _that_ functionality go? It's also sometimes too complex of a tool for marketing people - some of the language and logic tricks the marketing team so we end up needing to use more developer time to help out there.
Once you move past its built-in support for Shopify, it can be challenging to implement anything custom.
The thing I dislike the most would be the non user friendly set up of segments. If you don't know what you are doing with those it can be very daunting.
