Performance of Mailchimp Across Market Features
Mailchimp Likes & Dislikes
Most of the features, mostly the basic ones, are very easy to start using, and setting it up is not as much of a hassle as other software often implemented for other areas of your business. While still lacking in a large number of templates, having them as a starting point is helpful for everyone, mostly users with less design skills. Analytics isn't perfect, but it's presented in an easy way to visualize the most important numbers that most users would be worried about.
The ease of use and initial start up made Mailchimp an easy in the moment decision.
The variety of templates, the ease of use, and the customization options.
Unimpressive Customer Support and Plans - Contracts are limited to specific plans and customer support is extremely simplistic, and similar to the support that one would get by reaching out to Amazon or a brand that sells a product, versus a large software company that would care to create a relationship with a customer, having an account manager and more of a SAAS approach. Lack of internal communications tools - While it's understandable that this is not the market and focus of Mailchimp, in today's marketing and communications world, having platforms with tools that focus on internal users would be extremely beneficial, especially at Mailchimp's price point, since tools that focus on that market tend to have astronomically higher prices. Something to highlight here is the painful process of managing contacts and segments in Mailchimp, mostly due to the lack of native AD synchronization, forcing users to resort to a painful manual process or the added labor and cost of a third party as a connection and automation point. Lack of tutorials and more modern knowledge - While knowledge and FAQs are present, many have a basic approach and lack a good way to teach beyond basic best practices. Would like to see better ways of working with segments, what the differences are between the current options; how to design better; what other less-used tools are available and how to apply them, etc.
Mailchimp does not have the features for marketing automation that I would like it to have and. is difficult to connect to our other marketing automation systems.
While Mailchimp does a great job with email design and automation, its reporting tools could be stronger. The platform feels a bit limited when it comes to tracking conversion rates and digging into deeper analytics on campaign performance.

Mailchimp Eases Email Marketing But Internal Communication Features Are Lacking
Mailchimp has been, overall, a good tool for our email marketing needs. It has greatly improved the quality of our designs, delivery and analytics. While not an internal-focused tool, most of our needs have are focused on the internal user (employees) instead of selling to external customers, therefore the platform has a few, understandable shortcomings. Due to this, I am trying to be fair with my ratings as the platform is not marketed for that public but also can be used for that. - CONTRACT MANAGER50M-1B USDConsumer GoodsReview Source

Mailchimp is an overall solid marketing platform that's easy to navigate, even for teams without a lot of technical experience. The interface is intuitive, and we appreciate the wide range of templates and customization options. It's simple to create campaigns that look professional and align with our brand. - Marketing Associate<50M USDSoftwareReview Source
Personalization Is Strong On Mailchimp While Unsubscribing Remains Limited
Mailchimp was a good platform for sending our direct mails campaing overall! It offers extensive formatting and design features, and its interface is very intuitive. We stopped using the platform because the platform doesn't allow a user unsubscribe from more than one audience at time. - Director of Marketing<50M USDServices (non-Government)Review Source
Straightforward email marketing platform with enough features
Mailchimp has been a solid upgrade from Kit, offering a cleaner interface, better templates, and more robust tools for our email marketing. The built-in features and Canva integration have made campaign creation easier, but the email design tools still have some quirks and reporting could go deeper, especially around individual user engagement. Overall, it's a good choice for small marketing teams! - EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR MARKETING<50M USDMediaReview Source
