The granularity of the configuration. Both in terms of the rules that we can set up on our estate, and the settings that control how Egress functions within the web portal.
It prevents data leakages it works pretty smooth. However to monitor the results we have to use the Egress dashboard. In the beginning it takes some time to learn for our end users, however once that is done it is a walk in the park.
Defend is particularly reliable at stopping phishing campaigns and successfully removing them from the user's inbox. It does an excellent job at preventing threats that other tools may have missed. We also utilise Prevent and Protect - Prevent is excellent at stopping emails going to unintended recipients, flagging for potential DLP violations and providing that quick user training piece around why they may have violated a particular policy. Protect is utilised across the business to send secure messages - it's an excellent service.
Sadly, user allocation does not allow for dynamic groups. They must be static. While not a major problem, this does make it slightly tricky to keep on top of who does and doesn't have a license.
Provide an API so we can handle the data instead of having to view and login to Egress dashboards.
I spend most of my time in the Defend admin portal, so here are a few niggly issues that we have spotted. For example, it isn't possible to bulk select emails to close as either Phish or Not Phish. It would also be beneficial to have another category dedicated to Marketing/Spam. However, we have raised these points with our KnowBe4 team and they are actively looking into solutions to address these. The team has demonstrated a real drive for constructive feedback and they will try and implement all of our suggestions.

Egress has detailed and granular rule configuration allowing for very specific coverage to fit out exact needs. The prevent dashboard has a large array of detailed information and allows us to monitor and check for data loss across the company. Defend also works very well, allowing for easy monitoring of incoming dangerous emails. The KnowBe4 platform offers a single pane of glass, with some other features we were looking for (encryption and DLP). The ease of use on both an end-user and administration level has been nothing short of exceptional. The email uses a banner system to draw attention to potential phishing emails. This helps break up the standard banners typically configured in a 365 environment such as "This is an external email, do not click links from untrusted sources.... etc". Overall, I would say that the customer service provided by KnowBe4 for Email Security (Protect, Prevent, Defend) - formerly Egress has been excellent. They were responsive and able to fulfil our requests without any issues - and were able to accommodate us when we changed our minds on our encryption wording and options.
