Product Information on Lumos

Updated 13th October 2025

What is Lumos?

Lumos is a software designed to streamline SaaS management, access control, and application governance within organizations. It enables businesses to automate the process of assigning, revoking, and monitoring user access to various cloud applications and internal resources. The software supports workflows that improve onboarding and offboarding of employees by managing their permissions in accordance with organizational policies. Lumos offers features for auditing access changes, optimizing license usage, and enhancing security compliance by providing a centralized platform for visibility over user entitlements and asset utilization. This software addresses challenges related to shadow IT, access sprawl, and inefficient use of SaaS subscriptions, aiming to reduce risk and increase operational efficiency for enterprises seeking improved digital resource management.

Lumos Pricing

Lumos software uses a subscription-based pricing model, with charges determined by the number of users and selected feature tier. The software typically offers multiple plans, including options for small teams and enterprises, allowing organizations to choose the package that aligns with their requirements and scale. Strong role management and workflow automation with room to improve on niche integration and reporting flexibility

    Jul 6, 2026
Our experience with Luminos has been mostly positive app discovery surfaced shadow IT tools we didn’t know were in use, role management made access requests self service instead of manual tickets, usage data helped cut a few unused licenses, and workflow automations cut down manual steps for on boarding and off boarding. The one drawback was that integration set up for some less common tools took longer than expected, but overall a strong platform with a bit of room to improve on speed.

A few things to send out about Luminos first role management is that it's intuitive, setting up access levels and permissions took far less time than expected, and adjusting roles as needs change is simple. Second, workflow automation has saved our team real time, especially for on boarding off boarding since access gets granted or revoked automatically instead of us handling it manually third the self service access request. Flow means employees can request what they need without opening an IT ticket which cuts down on the back-and-forth.Overall, these three features make day-to-day access management a much less of a manual burden.

Dislike

Cons: - Integration challenges: My team and I have found integrations to be a bit limited and complicated, especially because we deal with several custom applications - Learning curve: Though we love the UI, the advanced automation capabilities did take quite some time to get used to - Support: We have had inconsistent responsiveness from the Lumos Support team. Some tickets we get responses within a reasonable SLA whereas other times, it takes days to get a response
