Matter

Matter has been a great way to recognize and reward peers for their efforts at work. I love that the team is able to get rewards for excelling at their job. It gives the team a reason to go out of their way to help other employees and offers an outlet to express words of affirmation when saying it face to face is not always an option.

Matter app has been a huge morale boost for our team. It gets our team in the habit of encouraging and thanking each other for a job well done. Overall this has been a great addition to our stack.

What has worked really well is being able to ask for features that specifically support our company's team dynamic. For example, asking for an option to see all the folks we have shared kudos points with before to ensure that we aren't giving them to the same people every time and neglecting other folks in the company who may not be in our department.

I never expected this tool to impact our team culture as much as it did. What looked like a fun little nice-to-have tool (one of our new team members suggested it) actually changed the vibe of our team quite a bit. People appreciate each other more, the atmosphere is lighter and it just makes team feel more connected. Which is super important given we're fully remote team. We're a service provider (a design agency), so our day-to-day work can be pretty similar and even boring. But it's always filled with moment where people help each other, share emotions and work it out. Matter App became our tool and way to communicate the appreciation and gratefulness in the most effortless and cheerful way 💫 So glad we gave it a try, really
