Matter has been a great way to recognize and reward peers for their efforts at work. I love that the team is able to get rewards for excelling at their job. It gives the team a reason to go out of their way to help other employees and offers an outlet to express words of affirmation when saying it face to face is not always an option.

It's very easy to use in terms of giving feedback and then being able to use your matter coins to get gift cards. I love that it's customizable for the team and we can center the feedback around our core values. Being able to send private kudos is also beneficial for when someone really makes a difference in a more personal way. Another great thing is how easily integratabtle it is with slack which is what our team is using on a daily basis.

Great value for the cost -- the monthly fee is very reasonable and the % fee when rewards are redeemed is fair as well. I love that once it's set up, there is virtually no administration as the rewards are automatically delivered and charged to us. This has also saved us a lot of time on employee anniversaries with assigned coins being automatically delivered based on years of service. Lastly, the fact that this integrates and lives within our Microsoft Teams is a massive benefit. We don't have to navigate to another app to send/receive Kudos coins, which makes it much easier for our team to use.

I feel like we get too many notifications it can start to get overwhelming getting so many Back when we had a larger team I would feel bad about not being able to give everyone enough coins, giving 1 or 2 didn't feel like enough but I wouldn't have enough coins to do more than that. When i try to send kudos on my phone i will fill everything out and then hit post and the message stays and doesn't clear, i can't tell if it posted or not so i will hit post again and then it will double post.

The integration with Microsoft teams could be better. Our team often wants to reply to the sender of the Kudos, and unless they specifically tag the person in, they are not notified.

Culture game changer for fully-remote teams

I never expected this tool to impact our team culture as much as it did. What looked like a fun little nice-to-have tool (one of our new team members suggested it) actually changed the vibe of our team quite a bit. People appreciate each other more, the atmosphere is lighter and it just makes team feel more connected. Which is super important given we're fully remote team. We're a service provider (a design agency), so our day-to-day work can be pretty similar and even boring. But it's always filled with moment where people help each other, share emotions and work it out. Matter App became our tool and way to communicate the appreciation and gratefulness in the most effortless and cheerful way 💫 So glad we gave it a try, really

This app allows us to acknowledge our team in meaningful ways
