Planner is easy to navigate, and the features are intuitive for the user to implement

I like the ease of use and the ability to create your own buckets for your specific needs. The inclusion of subtasks and flags make it easy to add additional details that can be useful for going back and remembering the purpose of each task and the work that needs to be done for them.

The possibility of interaction among all the people who shared the cards. Integration with other Microsoft tools and especially Copilot. The ease of working with multiple different types of projects and tracking task updates in real time.

I wish there was an easier way to export the tasks to a dashboarding software like Power BI for further insights into team projects.

No collaboration, one file, one project Interface is not very intuitive Resource module is not easy to use

The inability to restore deleted cards or tasks. There are certain limitations of resources, especially when it is a large and complicated project. Expensive licensing.

Navigating Through MS Planner: Initial Obstacles and Needed Improvements

MS Planner is for me the go-to tool for simple task management. The readily available column options make it simple to set up. It gives an option to integrate tasks into calendar and to send alerts to assigned persons on their tasks. As for the downsides, during the initial implementation we wanted to review the pricing and get recommendations for licensing. The customer service person was difficult to reach and could not answer all our questions. We did figure out the answers on our own by trial and error. The integration of MS Planner and MS Project is confusing and I don't see a big difference between the MS Planner and MS Project Online anymore. I would be happy to see these two fully integrated. Despite the challenges, my overall impression with the product is still good, especially what comes to integration to different MS Office products.
