We really like the ease of use of Nintex automation. It's much simpler for our engineers than working through mountains of code.
Read Full Review- The Nintex Automation On-Prem Forms designer is an extremely powerful forms generator and allows complex forms to be built very quickly and easily. The forms are extremely professional looking and allow for a lot of customizations. - The Nintex Workflow tool is incredibly easy to use for building complex workflows. It's very easy to learn and has a very visual interface so it doesn't require knowledge of software development to use. It's also extremely powerful and can be used for complex processing. - It's very simple for our business users to check the status of their automated processes, even when they don't have much knowledge of how Nintex Automation works.

The things we struggle with about this product the most are the cost, time to learn the system, and overall scale of management of the workflows.

Read Full Review- The Product update process can be quite cumbersome and often runs into issues that need to be resolved manually during the update. We now rely on our managed services provider to complete the updates as it often requires their expertise. - Customer support can be slow to respond at times and we've had to rely on our managed services provider to provide support for Nintex issues. - Product is reliant on an on-prem SharePoint environment. We are using SharePoint Online for most of our SharePoint sites at this point, but still need to maintain a SharePoint On-Prem environment for running our Nintex automated processes.

K2 has whole suite of tools to build applications in less time
We have built our Design History Files(DHF) application using K2 Smartforms and K2 Blackpearl workflows. Time to build application was less compared to traditional approaches, UI was quite modern by that time. We are able to meet most of our application requirements with no custom code, used very little K2 API to extend its functionality. We had problem with generated PDF format sometimes and especially with no eSign functionality. Used re-entering user credentials while approving documents as work around but compliance team not happy with it. Overall it was very good experience to work with this even though we moved application after 5 years use to Open Text Content server.
