Optimizely Web Experimentation

I personally like the ease of use, especially with the drag and drop editor. The setup is intuitive and provides quick implementation into our solution. Advanced targeting options are great to provide flexibility in how we run experiments. This allows us to tailor our experiments to specific user groups and allows us to get more meaningful insights. Additionally, their real-time analytics and reporting are clean and easy to navigate. This helps us monitor our progress and adjust strategies without delay.

The amount of features that this tool offers is really vast as it covers all sorts of testing like A/B testing, multivariant testing and stat accelerator testing.

1. I like that you can easily set up experiments with custom JS. 2. I like the results summary and how it updates live. 3. I like the documentation, the utils library and the snappy and helpful support.

One of the main issues that I faced was that there were performance issues with large amounts of traffic. It seems like there was a delay in the configuration when toggling on and off the the experiments. Another issue is that the documentation for beginners can be a bit overwhelming in terms of organizing the overall flow of how the product works. Lastly, the sharing and collaboration tools feel a bit lacking. There could be improvements for version control, annotation capabilities, or clearer ways for team members to leave feedback on the experiments.

The tool has soo much to offer but it requires a big learning curve as it is quite intimidating in sense of integrating it and learning everything about this tool.

1. Audiences - I find it a bit limiting that custom JS audience code may not work. When Optimizely audience code executes it doesn't wait for the full page to load. 2. Optimizely app is a bit slow, when navigating around the interface. 3. The code editor is quite basic. I have to write code in my IDE and copy and paste into optimizely every time I make a change.
