Overall, my experience with Monetate was positive. This has allowed our team to deliver targeted customer experiences and run tests with minimal engineering support. The platform is powerful, once you get used to it, the reporting and segmentation are quite strong. That said, as our program grew and our needs became more complex, we found that it was not the best fit for scaling further. Managing more advanced use cases required more effort, so we eventually moved to a platform that aligned better with our long-term roadmap.

the product itself is and was great to start but the innovation has been lacking recently. communicaitons with professional services isnt as punctual and prompt as it used to be but the support team is very responsive.

The flexibility and ease of use of Monetate's personalization and testing capabilities. It is easy to quickly create, launch, and iterate on targeted experiences without heavy technical involvement. The segmentation options are strong, and the ability to test and personalize in real time is valuable for improving customer engagement and conversion rates.

it offers low code and code options for site customization and testing so it is very dynamic if you know how to use it

I think the platform is fairly standard, benchmarked against others, and every vendor tries to offer something different, what Monetate offers is a decent quality platform that benchmarks well against alternatives. Where Monetate shines though is through their customer service and partnership where they work alongside us to support our business strategy day to day.

Dislike

While it is strong for personalization and testing, reporting and analytics can be limited. Extracting detailed insights takes more time and we often rely on external analytics tools for deeper analysis. There is also a learning curve for more advanced features, which can slow adoption for new users. It required custom developing work at times which takes more time and cost.

lack of innovation, poor in-house development customizations and solutioning, hasnt been upkeeping capabilities with new safari browser updates

To date, the platform has worked like many others primarily on a client-side basis, and this can lead to some challenges in experience creation, but isn't unique to Monetate and is covered by some of the unique features offered by some vendors. Monetate does have a strong roadmap though which aims to level up the experimentation and personalisation capabilities to stand out in the market.

The platform is strong with a solid roadmap and the customer support and partnership through the years has been outstanding.

    As a result of an acquisition we have been introduced to the Monetate Suite of solutions. Beyond what a product delivers on your website to your customers, it is important to call out the business user tool sets within the tool to manage the solutions. They are well thought out, easy to follow and will not require your IT team's help.
