Target takes a lot of careful customization to set up, and often runs into performance issues when deployed through Adobe Launch. This manifests in the classic "flicker" complaints you read about on other sites, as original content starts to load and is replaced by the A/B test content. Despite this, the integration offered by the broader Adobe tech stack (CDP, Magento, AEM, CJA/AA, AJO) makes it unique in the A/B space. The ability to set success metrics based on any CJA metric is a big bonus. It's also able to function without URL redirects, as AEM/Magento itself arranges content based on directions from Target

While our organization was initially impressed by the breadth of features and solutions available via Adobe Target, after contract signing and implementation we were left with more to be desired. The tool itself may have a lot of bells and whistles but the documentation and constant updates (at least during my time of use) was very disjointed and made for a very challenging onboarding. The level of service was also not quite satisfactory as Adobe offers a service package (I forget the actual name of it) that is an additional cost that was not outlined during the initial sales process. I had very high expectations of Adobe Target but they have fallen very short of these expectations and sincerely wish we had gone with another a/b testing provider.

Like

The broader integration with the adobe tech stack makes it a unique A/B test provider. One interesting use case I saw is to have the test variant prompted with a survey (via AEM) and the survey sent out and administered through AJO. Most concerns with Target are overridden by how effective the rest of the tech stack is.

The connectivity between our existing Adobe Analytics integration is the only thing I like about Adobe Target. However, this connection was not as seamless as we would have liked and also posed challenges during our initial onboarding phase.

I like how I can run multi variate test which let me see that which content and the layout will work fine also I can personalize the experience on the bases of user which enhance the performance.

Dislike

Deployment and implementation, like any adobe product, takes A LOT of manual work and it does not function well out of the box.

I really dislike how you are somewhat forced to pay extra for a premium service package instead of simply getting the answers and technical support you need from your assigned account manager. This has been a huge bottleneck in allowing our company to test more frequently.

The support take much time to response which I really dislike also some time it start getting lag if I run multiple campaigns or test at once.
