My experience with Oracle Peoplesoft has been mixed. Oracle tools can be used effectively for specific management and reporting needs, particularly in performance management scenarios. However, Oracle does not play the role of a single end-to-end ERP backbone.

Cloud deployment of Peoplesoft enables extensive payroll customization and integration
We have been using Oracle PeopleSoft on premise to run payroll for years and recently migrated to PeopleSoft HCM on OCI. We got to retain 100% of our customization and still own the system maintenance as we have customized earning and deduction setup tailed to our company's payroll and benefits incentive plans. This mitigates significant payroll risk for us and without needing to train payroll and IT teams to continue to use PeopleSoft.
