The versatility offered within the software for handling wide-ranging data formats - or even just patterns - is a significant strength. Everything from XMLs to character-delimited fields or fixed-length data, and more, are handled with ease. Post-processing capabilities for AFP documents further enhance operational efficiency by enabling fully-generated pages or documents to be split (into whatever groups you see fit - envelope sizes, languages, mailing destinations), or merged (2 documents for same mailing address, for example), or reprocessed to add a cover page or bar coding or page numbering or whatever else might help. Product robustness: during our multi-year partnership with Papyrus Software, we have had notably few reliability issues. Whenever a problem has arisen - maybe once every 8 years or so - Papyrus Software has been quick to assess the concerns and to suggest a workaround, and to deliver a fix within a day or 2. Impressive!
Technical Support
The document management aspect is my favorite. It's so helpful to have things placed where they belong or find them easily without a ton of time and effort. The Omni Channel is also pretty amazing. Everything i synced well, from print to social media to email. They also have great customer service, anything you need help with, they'll have you going in no time.
Working windows with Papyrus Designer are often inflexible in position and size, making it challenging to easily analyze larger substitution table or bodies of text. I hear that is changing with the next release, though.
Lack of verticality, the solution is not ready-to-deliver, it is needed to build it block by block (at least for a digital mailroom solution).
There were some initial performance issues at the beginning, nothing crazy, just getting things synced well across all. However, customer service was able to help and get things rolling better. Like any product, they can start off a bit buggy. The only other thing i really found negative is that to really get the help you need is to call, if you're someone who likes to do things themselves and try to go through help pages, they're not super helpful. Customer service is, but the help pages, not so much.
