Response times are insanely fast. Attack Surface Coverage (They have products to find every dark corner) Sales team truly understands our needs and doesn't oversell
It does not completely cover a modern business. It's dependent on the agent or supported log sources. Just because it gets to the SIEM, does not mean you have MDR coverage. The service scope is limited to what the provider supports. You may still need an internal team to look at everything else. Compatibility with certain cloud technologies is still lacking, such as containers and runtime monitoring. MDR services do not offer an end-to-end solution. Detection is great, the response relies on other tooling.
The SOC team closed incidents without providing sufficient explanation or context. This lack of transparency makes it difficult to understand the rationale behind their decisions and limits our ability to learn from and improve our own internal processes.
Email protection, I hope R7 will work its way into Proofpoint's space as I can see a true benefit to the combined ecosystem working together.

Smooth Threat Monitoring but Onboarding and Documentation Challenges Noted with Rapid7 MDR
Rapid7's MDR service has provided strong visibility into threats across our environment. Their SIEM works off an "all you can eat" model so you don't have to worry about picking and choosing which event sources to ingest. The onboarding was a little rocky but other than that we are happy with the service.
