Shopify is amazing! Especially for new businesses or small start-ups, Shopify is one of the easiest platforms to set up a website with and get it live as soon as possible.

Overall, my experience with shopify has been phenomenal. If you’re looking for an easy E-commerce setup, shopify is the move. The prices maybe inflated and affordability is an issue but the quality of service is unmatched. especially with their plugins and integrations. All in all, i definitely recommend this product for their customer support but their software is less customizable. There were times where I had to hire Shopify developers to customize a feature since they use a different language in their code. If anyone is looking to work with Shopify, I would suggest looking into their customizability options before purchasing.

One of the main selling points of Shopify is how fast you can set up a website with their website templates and already pre-designed sites. It's straight to the point, edit the template with the details you want. It also comes with a built in shop checkout which is very convenient as a new start-up, it's difficult to set up payment methods which lead to other sites. I also like how easy the backend is to use, very detailed with manufacturer editable details also.

1. They are very easy to setup. Anyone can open up a shop from anywhere and they are very user friendly. 2. Shopify customer support is extremely helpful and always available. They will help you no matter the situation and will go out of their way. 3. They have good features and great SEO so your website will always have a good ranking.

The feature these guys do the best out of all the ecommerce sites is ensuring the right datapoints are integrated with Google so you show up as a highly relevant product in the shopping search when people are looking for your product type.

One of the main weaknesses of Shopify is that as your brand grows, you want more security and more features for your website which Shopify isn't the best for, especially for high end websites. Another weakness is that Shopify relies a lot on third party websites for premium features such as advanced analytics, this adds to the cost of using Shopify and might not be suitable when you are scaling heavily. Lastly, the Shopify integrated checkout is great, however, if you are to use other transaction vendors, you will be charged fees for payments and it adds up.

1. The lack of customization is an issue with Shopify. They use their own language to code their websites and adding any complex features requires professional help. 2. The pricing is a bit too steep. Even though their quality of service is amazing, for small stores or websites, it can be expensive. 3. The platform is very generic and does not have that many options when it comes to themes.

The way they have the backend locked down so that you need to pay extra to get more features or link you with specialists who you pay exorbitant amounts of money to customize themes is a bit over the top. I would like more back end customization features that are user friendly.
