What stands out most to me is, first, the sheer range of content. Skillsoft covers everything from leadership to technical skills, which makes it easy to address varied needs across teams. Second, the on-demand nature of the courses means people don't have to wait for a scheduled session; they can learn when it fits them best. Lastly, the reporting tools give us visibility into what's being used, which helps us measure engagement and refine how we guide employees toward resources.
Skillsoft has integrated AI well in a manner that helps to support the user's learning journey. Depth and variety of the content available is very strong compared to competitor offerings. Skillsoft is also a trusted brand in this space
Flexibility - custom courses can be created; Variety - you can find learning material for almost all topics you are interested in; Integration - we were able to integrate it with WorkDay, which was quite convenient and easy;
The user interface feels dated compared to modern learning apps, and that can make adoption slower for employees who expect a sleek learning experience. The search function isn't always accurate, so finding the right course sometimes takes more effort than it should. And while the library is extensive, not all the content is of the same quality; some courses feel fresh and practical, while others are clearly showing their age.
Quality of the content can be somewhat hit-and-miss, with some of it being fantastic whereas some is poor quality. UI Interface could do with improvement in my opinion.
Creating custom training is time consuming. I think it is the most unpleasant in LMS. It is not specific to this product. I think it applies to all of them. With Skillsoft, the more you use it, the better your training in the end.
