Lakeside is a DEX engineering platform that uses a proprietary embedded AI engine and a rich, structured dataset to enable IT teams to proactively resolve complex issues. The Lakeside SysTrack platform collects, organizes, structures, and labels more than 10,000 data points every 15 seconds from more than 1,400 sensors that support physical and virtual devices across all operating systems, including Windows, MacOS, Android, and Linux. This ready-to-use, well-organized data gives your IT team the complete visibility and data insights they need to predict problems, know the right answers, and fix issues fast so people can focus on their work and not their technology troubles.

SysTrack is flexible. We have the opportunity to create our own custom sensors, automations, self-help tools and dashboards. SysTrack allows us to deploy configurations to different environments (Windows, MacOS, VDI) while deploying in a Too Big To Fail approach. Unlike other products, SysTrack utilizes a local database to retain data while it is offline and when online, the data condenses up to the cloud.
The amount of information that can be gathered is quite impressive. This allows for quicker resolutions to issues on the endpoints, leading to better relationships with end users.
Visibility into endpoint health and user experience, which includes performance and device stability. Dashboards and reporting that make it easy to share insights and support IT decisions, with the added benefit of having the data available through Power BI. Less guesswork when troubleshooting, since you can see what happened on individual endpoints and also analyze trends across the entire enterprise using the broader data set.
In its current state, SysTrack gives a deployment option to upgrade its product when new versions become available, however a rollback option is not available, but it is being worked on. Dashboard creation has a lot to offer, but can be confusing or complex without proper training. SysTrack sensors don't use standard SQL or SQLite. It uses its own SysTrack SQL based off T-SQL syntax which can lead to a learning curve. Engagements and surveys do not have a native way to 'snooze' and come back later. It is possible for end users to click an X to close them out and not perform the engagement or survey.
The UI is complex and not intuitive at all. The amount of resource overhead on the endpoints. Pricing was steep compared to similar products on the market.
Some areas of the platform have a steep learning curve, and it can take time to become proficient with deeper analytics and advanced features. At times we've seen delays in data freshness or inconsistent data capture on certain endpoints, which can make troubleshooting harder until the data is fully synchronized. Depending on the dataset or query, some views can feel slow or less responsive when you have a large number of endpoints.
