Any Automation CoE's that centralized enterprise RPA (ex: UiPath or AA) and low-Code automation (ex: MS Power Automate)  platforms as part of their organizations?  What were the primary drivers for organizing this way?  Benefits?

I have tried to decentralize RPA, but it's really difficult since to build them you need a software development background, it takes a month of training, and you need to be continuously building to keep one's skillset honed. RDA on the other hand is great to democratize.

We have ServiceNow as a platform and I need to automate our Joiners, Movers and Leavers process. ServiceNow are trying to push their HR module which is overkill for what I need. We have also implemented some RPA with UiPath which seems to be going well. Has anyone been able to successfully automate JML? Is so, would you mind sharing any tips?

I would recommend RPA long term due to it's major reliance on the GUI. In theory you can MVP with RPA for a period of time until you have a more elegant solution leveraging for example an Azure pipeline that can trigger some of the actions needed on AD and other systems.

    Streamlined Bot Control Confronts Challenges in Error Clarity and Role Configuration

    UiPath has been very useful for managing automation work in one place. Cloud Orchestrator, robot management, scheduling and monitoring jobs works well for daily support. It helps reduce manual work and gives good control over unattended bots. Tha main issues are that troublshooting failed jobs, package issues and permission setup can be taken if the environment is not documented proplerly.

We had a positive experience with UiPath, particularly in the context of automating invoice processing. Utilizing this tool allowed me to automate the extraction of data, validate it and post it to our SAP system efficiently. This automation has substantially reduced the manual efforts involved in processing invoices, which has been a game changer for any organisation.

What I like most about the UiPath platform is that it makes automation management easier from one plac.e The standout strengths are orchestrator, unattended robot management, and job scheduling. It also provides good monitoring, queue management, and role-based access control.

Issues we've been experiencing sometimes with this product's ability to handle large data sheets. Specifically, we have encountered problems when working with excel sheets containing upwards of hundred or thousand rows, as the software frequently crashes under this load.

What I dislike most about the UiPath Platform is that troubleshooting can take time when jobs fail without clear error details. The main issues are package dependency problems, permission setup confusion, and robot or machine connection issues. Sometimes there is confusion between folder and tenant based roles. This could be more clearer.
