For me, the most standout feature of Workday Human Capital Management is its format of reporting and insights. Human Resources department can easily generate reports regarding the employees performance, track their promotion and also can see organizational charts without any problems. Second, Workday Human Capital Management has strong security controls. It is very difficult to breach its security and temper or leakage of important information like audit trails and other company related information. Third, you don't need an office desktop to use Workday Human Capital Management. You can access the system on your mobile or laptop while at home.
Unfortunately I really don't like anything about it specifically.
It's a very simple user interface for both myself as a team leader as well as for my employees. It gives a very detailed readout of their available PTO and what is already in place. It also does a great job of providing reminders for employee time off as well as time card approvals.
While using the Workday Human Capital Management system, I find that its interface is very clunky and looks very old fashioned. And sometimes it is very hard to find what you need as there are too many tabs.
The software is not user friendly, not intuitive, very cumbersome and difficult to navigate on the back end. Too many differences between the mobile app and the desktop site which make it even more confusing and difficult to navigate.
There is a little overlap in some functions that adds a little visual clutter. There is also an odd aspect of the organizational tiers that doesn't allow me to manage employee time if they are technically direct reports to one of the middle managers that are under me. I would also like to have a little more detail when it comes to time calculations as hours and minutes rather than as decimal format for clarity.
