For me, the Workday Human Capital Management system is working superbly as I can update all my details by myself and also I can see many important things easily including time off requests and pay stubs etc. While using it, there is no need to use any other system as it is alone useful to manage the tasks such as time tracking, payroll, performance and benefits of the employees.

Interface is not very user friendly. Certain features, such as vacation time, do not seemed to be configured optimally. Certain buttons are not intuitive, and it takes users some time to figure out how to navigate.

For me, the most standout feature of Workday Human Capital Management is its format of reporting and insights. Human Resources department can easily generate reports regarding the employees performance, track their promotion and also can see organizational charts without any problems. Second, Workday Human Capital Management has strong security controls. It is very difficult to breach its security and temper or leakage of important information like audit trails and other company related information. Third, you don't need an office desktop to use Workday Human Capital Management. You can access the system on your mobile or laptop while at home.

Workday HCM offers a centralized platform that streamlines core HR processes such as recruitment, compensation management, full employee life-cycle and access to employee data in real time. Workday offers a user friendly interface for end-users and a fairly intuitive approach to perform HR transactions both via self-service and via HR Shared Services teams. One of the key features that our employees like is the self-service capability. Platform early adopters were fascinated with the ability to see their profile updates in real time, rather than sending an email to a generic mailbox and waiting for a long time for the changes to be reflected. Additionally, Workday offers fantastic reporting and dashboard capabilities, which allow for data driven decisions and recommendations. Finally, Workday integrates well with other systems and that makes Workday to be the hub and source of truth for employee data.

While using the Workday Human Capital Management system, I find that its interface is very clunky and looks very old fashioned. And sometimes it is very hard to find what you need as there are too many tabs.

Certain links are made available to the users that do not provide useful information. Unintuitive design leads users to click multiple things in order to find what they are looking for. Booking vacation is more difficult through Workday because it shows the vacation time accrued. Additional maneuvering is required to see the total vacation time for the year. More confusingly, you are able to book and take vacation before accruing the hours, so this design makes it difficult to track how much vacation you have left. There is also no notification to let you know if your vacation has been approved, and there is also a delay in managers getting the vacation request. Workday also do not seem to provide managers with a good consolidated view of vacations for their teams. Rollout was buggy from a user perspective with certain features not working

Workday is an expensive platform, so it may not be a good fit for smaller companies. Significant change management is also required to capitalize on the benefits of the system.

    Workday has always been great to interact with and partner with. However, they have changed significantly in recent years and no longer have a customer first focus. They have started to take away services only to charge customers for them now at a huge cost. They are also spending and focusing too much time and resources on AI and have yet to deliver anything of value in the AI space. Need to get back to what matters. It will be interesting to see how the next couple of years go.
