One of Dayforce's biggest strengths is its flexibility and customizability. As an administrator, I appreciate the ability to configure the system to suit our organization's complex and evolving needs -- without needing extensive vendor intervention. The continuous product innovation from Dayforce has also been impressive; the platform keeps evolving to support emerging trends and user needs. Modules such as workforce management and payroll are especially robust and reliable at scale, and integration across modules ensures data consistency.

Read Full Review1. One Stop Shop is my 100% favorite part. I am always trying to leverage how different modules work together and promote that within our company. 2. The Compensation Module specifically is one of my favorite tools and the one that is easiest to use and create worksheets for. 3. The Discover Conference (does that count?) 4. The community that surrounds the product and service.
Read Full ReviewWhile the platform is powerful, its complexity can present a steep learning curve -- especially for a solo administrator. Some configurations require deep product knowledge and occasional workarounds. Also, though support has improved, there are times when resolving more technical issues or enhancement requests can take longer than desired. Better documentation or administrator-focused training would be helpful, especially for users who manage the system end-to-end.
Read Full ReviewThe communications feature built native into the system is lacking and really not functional without further integration. Onboarding lacks the customization and ability to appropriately sign and complete documents associated with our new hire onboarding process. Updates are pushed out to forms that Dayforce owns without effective communication in advance. The changes regularly negatively impact my teams standard OP.
Read Full Review1. Frontline support employees are ineffectual most of the time. 2. The glitches that occur when trying to make reports. Data doesn't get pulled in sometimes when you expect it to. Hard to find the root cause sometimes (Support is a waste of time for these type of issues, I generally reach out to the External User Group community to solve reporting problems( 3. That you have to pay extra for some services that should be part of basic service delivery and ongoing customer support in my opinion. 4. That custom reports (that we PAY for) cannot be edited or changed after they are created.

Dayforce has aspirations of being a top-tier platform, but their aspirations far exceed the capability and current functionality / customizability of the platform. They're actively working to improve the recruiting module, but it's not yet to the level necessary to comfortably support multi-national organizations. Default reporting is more cumbersome than other platforms, although custom reports typically allows you to build / report on what you need, assuming you have the time to build the report. There are significant limitations to the systems capacity (due to the cloud server, per our implementation group) - as an example, you cannot send more than 5 resumes to a hiring manager at one time...this isn't a problem if your managers are regularly able to be in the system on a laptop, but that's not always possible and the functionality of the mobile app is near non-existent. They weren't honest with us up front about the challenges and limitations of sending emails within the system without the additional integration (and cost after implementation) which renders the communication feature within the recruiting platform useless otherwise. The implementation group we worked with overall lacked the level of service I've experienced with previous providers, although our implementation lead for the recruiting platform was always supportive and did her best to provide the customization necessary for our organization (or find alternative solutions when the system constraints limited us) - the attitude of most of the other implementation leads was lacking. - Total Rewards Strategist50M-1B USDConsumer GoodsReview Source
The Dayforce Community is one of the strengths of this product and company
I love working directly with the people who are running the company and who are creating the products. Their front line support is not great. I also love working with some of their configuration consultants. Dayforce Effectively Manages Multi-State Union's Complex Time and Attendance
We are multi-state, union, with 4 CBAs. Dayforce handles all the differences and complexity with ease. Most especially Time & Attendance. We have some truly complex pay rules, and Dayforce's high configurability has made completing timesheets "as easy as pie".
