The ability to easily join a meeting once it's on the room calendar provides a great user experience. The ease of enrolling a room device once setup is also very nice. The digital signage features are a great replacement for basic applications for which we were previously using a full fledged computer.

Ease of use, and it is light on maintenance with a complete set of features.

Throwing content on a screen with ease as well as continuity of collaboration regardless of who is and isnt onsite

Depending on the meeting devices in use, setup can be a little time consuming for the administrator. The setup of Microsoft 365 calendars to work correctly with Zoom Rooms is also not straightforward for those who may not be familiar with Exchange Online PowerShell. It can also be annoying to change some basic system settings (such as camera orientation) without involvement from IT. There is also a bit of a lack of devices that are solely designed for digital signage applications.

We have been facing issues with paired devices intermittently stopping syncing and disconnecting. Zoom support has been unable to solve the issue for years.

Cost of controller hardware was a challenge to start. I opted for a Lenovo One Tab for my office to jeep cost down without losing capabilities.

I love how Zoom Rooms function and benefit my team. Having the ability to throw content on a screen with ease when we're in person has been huge. plus, when some people are out of the office being able to gather who is onsite together while bringing in remote colleagues has kept us focused and eliminated the fiddling and waste of meeting time that other solutions need.

Zoom Rooms provided the college with a low-cost solution for digital signage. The solution was easy to implement and provides everything we need other than the micro or mini computer of choice at each display.
