clear design and mostly self-explanatory
The platform itself is a strong PM tool with a low learning curve.
1. task assignment and tracking - easily delegate tasks and track progress. 2. project views - flexible views like boards, timelines and lists make planning easier. 3. integrations - works well with github and slack for streamlined updates
I can't mention any points here
Asana allows users to invite other users. There is no option to disable this at the admin level, even with a connected IdP. This is a naked attempt to push their seat count, outside of admin control. Asana has very limited admin controls, in addition to the invite issue above, it is not possible to manage admin perms for other users outside of fully removing accounts from the tenant. SSO settings are far to shallow for an enterprise platform. Our users have UPNs with different domains and getting SSO to work in that configuration seems to be impossible at current. Asana's support is frustrating to navigate and nearly useless if the solution isn't something written in their published KBs. Expect 48 hours for any response, that response to come far outside of US business hours, and starting over from scratch if that response (usually a link to a semi-relevant KB) does not resolve your issue.
1. overwhelming interface - can feel cluttered for smaller, simpler projects. 2. notification overload - too many notifications without fine tuning preferences. 3. limited free version - many useful features are locked behind the premium plan.
