What is Bloomreach Engagement?

Bloomreach's Customer Data Platform (CDP) goes beyond simply unifying customer data. It provides advanced e-commerce analytics, omnichannel orchestration, and product personalization. It also ensures marketers can take meaningful action with the collected data. Featuring marketing automation capabilities, it simplifies processes while driving revenue and ROI. Our customer data engine allows you to centralize your online and offline customer data to gain a complete view of their interactions and preferences. Bloomreach offers you the flexibility to pick and choose which features you want to use; it’s not an “all-or-nothing” solution. Although Bloomreach is a CDP + marketing automation, it can act as a standalone CDP to provide a unified source of customer data to an existing technology stack, or it can be used to handle all marketing activities using the additional layers of campaign execution and analytics. Bloomreach Engagement is scalable, flexible, and secure.

Bloomreach pricing is customized to the number of customers you serve, the size of your product catalog, and the number of events you execute – such as how many emails or SMS messages you send. Every solution is tailored to your specific needs and budget. All base plans include access to our customer data engine, Bloomreach’s data and analytics core. The tool is generally very easy to use once the implementation is complete, but requires a good technical team to make everything work properly later on. It's a great tool for your company to start making data-driven decisions. Most things can be done by any marketer without technical knowledge; if you want to do much more complex things or automate certain tasks like a pro, you'll need some technical support. It's a very versatile tool. It's very easy to create a functional data model and then review the customer's 360 vision. It even manages events in RT and even loads events from other platforms while maintaining the original timestamp. Segments/subsegments allow you to create audiences without overlaps. When it comes to activation, there are numerous ways to design the user journey. It's highly versatile, as it doesn't have to be tied to a linear cycle; instead, you can interconnect any node you want with nodes that have occurred previously. If you want something more sophisticated, you can even develop small snippets to make the task easier and automate it. In addition to being able to manage multiple channels, there's also the option to include your own webhooks. The only drawback I find is that, for media, the process is very tedious if you have to manage many audiences; the tool clearly isn't focused on this channel. During testing, the tool allows you to clearly visualize user drops, making end-to-end QA very easy. Regarding analytics, it allows you to reuse templates across activation channels, making it very easy to understand the results of a use case. Additionally, you can do virtually anything you want in terms of analytics, giving you great flexibility to improve use cases, identify areas for improvement, and be data-driven.

The shared platform has deliverability issues that they made worse. Pricing changes given at short notice, so not enough time to find alternatives. Support is limited and extremely slow. Features don't work as advertised. Technology is behind competitors.

The best thing about the product is its versatility to do practically anything you can imagine. Reuse modules and achieve improvements very quickly based on data. Clearly: scenarios, segmentations and analysis.

What I like least is activation on paid media channels, as it has to be done like a journey, though it's much easier to have the option within the segmentation itself. You also have to not only the add but also the remove options, so when a user leaves the audience, you also have to set up that journey.
