The CLMA Upgraded version enables the following positive features: - Being fully integrated with Coupa P2P/Spend platform. Thus, it is easier to navigate, approve and monitor contracts. - Approval flow is visible to everyone. There is transparency as to the approvers and the status of the workflow. - Comments on the transactions/contracts are visible to everyone as well. - Drafting and approval of contracts are simplified.
Documentation on implementation and use was satisfactory
Coupa's biggest strength continues to be its intuitive user interface, from both an end user and administrator perspective.
1. Not on the CLMA product itself but the Coupa Support which we experience long lead-time in resolving issues. 2. The CLMA user manuals are not that detailed. But this is just a minor issue for us since we have certified CLMA users/practitioners. 3. It would be better to have Coupa implementation team based in Asia/SEA, so there will be no significant timing difference.
Submitting invoices was a toilsome process due to the complexity and number of steps. Purchase orders were opaque and difficult to cross reference with other internal systems. Access control was not particularly granular and requesting access/escalating access had too many steps.
With recent changes in Coupa leadership as a result of the acquisition, it remains unclear if the new team will be able to continue to be the innovative force in the P2P market, especially with the rapid and ever-changing pace of AI. Notably, the quality and timeliness of support has also diminished over the past few years.
