My favorite Gong feature is the integrates AI, which allows me to better prepare for my calls. As a Customer Success Manager, I can ask it about the entire history of the account I am advising. Also, because it's linked to other platforms we use, it provides the full context from Salesforce, Clari Groove, emails and all general previous interactions. This ensures I don't loose track of everything I discuss with the many clients I handle throughout the week.
I like that it breaks down the percentage talk time. That alone is worth a lot for me because I use it to gauge myself. I prefer to talk less than my customer and if I'm not, it means I could have discovered more/listened more, which is a big component of sales.
UI is very intuitive which made adoption across sales teams much smoother than expected. I especially appreciate the forecast and dashboard views along with the Ask Anything feature.
It takes a lot of time to be able to review the call after it's done. One of my main activities is to update Gainsight with customer data reviewed in the call and I need at least to wait 1 hour. I have found that if my customer enters the Zoom reunion with other name, despite never addressing that customer with the name he has on zoom It asumes that is the name. I have to change it in every summary or trancription Gong gives me.
Most of the time, it lags in syncing with SalesForce or straight up doesn't sync at all. This means that all my updates in Gong doesn't make it to SalesForce.
Their customer service is below average as is our Account Manager. Problems need multiple follow ups to get a response even on a large company tier; and often the responses provided are usually generic where I can find better answers online.
