The flexibility and configurability of the platform. Icertis allows us to tailor templates, workflows, attributes, notifications, and data structures very precisely to our organisational and legal requirements. The breadth of available configuration options including detailed metadata structures, master data integration, and highly customised notifications enables us to support very different contract types and business scenarios within one environment. This level of fine-tuning, combined with strong workflow and reporting capabilities, makes the platform suitable for complex, enterprise-wide contract management.
The IROS Support program has impressed me with their level of effort to improve our experience with the software, their Agile Sprint based delivery, and core team that fully understands our unique implementation and needs. It is rare that a supplier is pressuring me for ideas for improvements as opposed to me pressuring them to deliver said improvements.
Amongst the features we have bought from Icertis, the most impactful for leadership has been the ability to generate concise executive summaries that clearly surface key obligations and decision points enabling faster and more informed approvals.
The main challenge is the complexity of configuration and template setup. The system offers significant flexibility, but this also means that it requires a solid understanding of how the different elements interact. Organisations may underestimate the effort needed to design and configure new contract types effectively.
I am not an end user and have limited understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of the tool, but I know on the whole we have not been impressed with the Discovery tool AI.
Strengthening dashboards around agreements, especially TAT and team wise visibility can give category heads real control and levers to act.

The initial experience was less than desired due to a disconnect between the Sales team and the Implementation team with regard to system functionality and integration capabilities, but the Implementation team managed to deliver on requirements, and the Admin Services team continues to assist in maximizing functionality and efficiencies, leading to an improved and overall positive experience. Centralized Contract Management and Template Standardization Improves Process
Icertis has really been a game changer for our team. The ability to have set templates with adaptive clauses is great. We can easily update language while ensuring all associates are working off the same enterprise language. Before Icertis, associates would save copies of our contract templates to their drive or would accidentally over-write the template on the shared drive. We had no centralized location for executed contracts and many times people were saving copies to their personal drives never to be seen again. All deviation reviews by SMEs outside our department were handled via email: all of that is centralized now. Metadata Handling Strong, Yet Workflow Flexibility Presents Challenges For Administrators
Our overall experience with Icertis has been solid, with clear strengths in core contract creation, search, metadata handling, and auditability. Where the experience could be better is in the flexibility of certain workflows, such as amendment uploads and template updates, and limitations around document assembly and template to contract type mapping. Support is responsive, but in some cases requires deeper analysis before arriving at the correct resolution.
