“An AI-Based system for labor & data sharing that reduces manager load and outperforms traditional WFM”

5.0
Apr 13, 2026
Our experience with Legion has been very positive because the platform delivers on a clear vision for AI-Driven WFM. It goes beyond traditional tools and is a scalable, automated operating model, with proven success for us. We are backed by incredible customer support when needed, and their techs specialists are able to shape our data into actual, usable data.

CRITICAL

“An Industry Disruptor With Good Frontline Tools, but Gaps in Manager Functionality and Implementation Support”

3.0
Apr 16, 2026
Legion provides a competent foundation for WFM but lacks the feature depth needed for more complex operational requirements. In practice, routine management needs that fall outside the system's core use cases require workarounds, which offsets the efficiency a WFM platform should deliver. Organizations evaluating Legion should conduct a thorough fit-gap analysis before committing — it may be adequate for straightforward environments, but it is not yet a full-featured enterprise WFM solution for all use cases.

Change Management and Testing Challenges Highlighted Despite Positive Core Functionality

    3.0
    Apr 16, 2026
The system is reliable for store teams, which is the most important function. We have had difficulties implementing more complex parts of the system. Store teams like the system and find the design easy to navigate, but they don’t always trust the schedule recommendations and schedule scores. The forecasting functionality has been difficult to get implemented, as it was not fully available when we chose the system. Would recommend including hours forecasting as part of the initial implementation.

We have run into several issues during the implementation that has delayed our pilot twice. Legion has been very supportive throughout the process and are being good partners.

Reviewer Insights for: Legion Workforce Management Platform

Legion Workforce Management Platform Likes & Dislikes

Like

Legion's approach to continuous labor planning and assistance in labor-planning (it is fully automated and could replace, but for us we of course want our users to review and adjust if needed, which is very rare). With their AI functions, it enables more precise, real-time workforce decisions and it reduces operational activities so our management teams can be where they are most effective, which is on the salesfloor. Labor Planning tightly connects demand, scheduling, compliance and delivers schedules that leads to us being more successful; it delivers measurable outcomes, such as a shift being filled automatically or removed, which translates into realtime savings (cost control). Since all the data is integrated in realtime, we are also able to all view the same thing, from HR, finance, IT, BI, Sales and Ops sides. We trust the quality of the AI-decision. We always appreciate the safety features Legion offers so our data is protected and secure. We operate in many different areas in North America and we need to stay compliant with labor laws, which Legion always provides. Our employee's engagement is very high because we have fair and flexible scheduling, the platforms (mobile and console) are user friendly and the communication tools are HR compliant and safe.

Like

The mobile app is modern and intuitive, driving strong adoption among frontline store teams with minimal training required. InstantPay is a standout differentiator that competing platforms don't consistently offer and has been well-received by hourly employees. Employee self-service capabilities such as shift visibility and swap requests have meaningfully reduced routine administrative burden on managers.

Like

While Legion is a large organization, they treat you the client as if you are just as important if not more than the the other larger clients they support. Having a partner to grow the solution to work with my business needs has been extemely helpful

Dislike

(1) As an administrator, I would like to see more in-depth and customized training, especially around reporting and data usage. The platform provides a large volume of data, which is great, but it can be challenging to know which data points I should use in the reports im building, to achieve the specific reporting outcomes. More guided, role-based training would help maximize value. (2) Some new features are introduced during meetings or periodic updates; however these features are not always available to our organization or may only become available much later. Greater transparency around feature availability and implementation timelines would help set clearer expectations and improve planning. . (3) While the system supports multiple languages, we have noticed the FRENCH version contains some incomplete or incorrect translations, which can occasionally create confusion for some users. It is also a sign of respect to properly translate when you do offer different languages.

Dislike

Implementation was the most significant pain point. Legion's project management was disorganized, creating delays and unclear ownership that put undue burden on our internal team. For a platform being sold to enterprise customers, the implementation experience did not match the maturity we expected.

Dislike

I don't think I have a huge dislike but would love for Legion to have easier integrations with other solutions that could work closer together for me the end user.
