What is Medallia Experience Cloud?

Medallia Experience Cloud (MEC) is a SaaS platform designed to gather and analyze customer, employee, and product experience signals across all experience touchpoints, including web, mobile, in-person interactions, contact centers, and direct feedback. Tooling includes feedback collection, real-time analytics, and sentiment analysis and includes AI, machine learning, and GenAI to simplify analysis for users and expedite actions so teams can spend more time with customers. MEC is embedded in workflows and org cultures, empowering accountable parties from the frontline to the C-suite with role-specific insights resulting in a culture focused on immediate action (both manual and automatically triggered) that enables the right person or system to take the right action at every level, driving better experiences, more empowered employees, and a VoC-centric culture.

Medallia Experience Cloud Pricing

Medallia Experience Cloud software uses a simple pricing model based on the Experience Data Record, which includes all data associated with a discrete interaction between an end-customer (or employee) and a company. Clients benefit from all features available in MEC with this pricing model, including AI-powered analytics, actionable alerts, and closed-loop workflows.

I have been using Medallia for over 8 years now, and have only good things to say about my experience. Medallia seems to have a pervasive culture of support, consistently providing me with creative solutions to my needs, including sometimes being able to apply logic that allows us to work around our own shortcomings in our data. This kind of flexibility and creativity is unparalleled by other vendor partners. Our CX and EX programs have been welcomed by our frontline and executive teams alike, especially as a major improvement over prior tools we had tried to use. The self-admin features are STELLAR. I'm able to complete most administration myself, keeping my managed services time focused on higher level or more complex work.

Medallia is a rock-solid platform. It covers all the bases. That said, getting to the nitty-gritty of a survey's results can feel like navigating a maze. Setting up the dashboards is taking longer than I'd expected. It would be helpful to have pre-made templates available.

Text Analytics, Push Reports and Admin Suite. As of 2025, I would add Intelligent Summaries and Root Cause Assist. These latest AI features have completely altered my time to analyze results and find where the data varies. What used to take hours now takes minutes. These features have also allowed my democratize the insights - instead of relying on periodic centralized analysis, users in leadership can now see moderately deep analysis with a simple click, at-will.

Advanced analytics suite, Multichannel feedback capture, and Workflow automations.

Like

Product features, look & feel and ease of use make Medallia solutions stand out in the industry. The UI is very user friendly and allows everyday users the ability to easily find the information they need to make informed decisions.

Dislike

There have been a couple product acquisitions and new features over the years that didn't quite land the way I had hoped, but there is so much quality available that it's okay.

Overly complex result-viewing and Dashboard build times, and a steep learning curve.
