- Great visuals - Multiple options to view and filter statistics - UX friendly
1. mixpanel is easy to implement. 2. It has far superior analytics than it's peers. 3. it's highly customisable and features rich. 4. Almost no lag in logging events.
We use MixPanel to study user behaviour and observe user's interaction patterns with the app and website. This helps us in establishing patterns and finding reasons behind user drop offs and making product changes based on these insights help in reducing churn to a great extent. Viewing app stickiness (DAU/MAU ratio) breakdown at a channel level helps us allocate budgets to best performing marketing channels. Furthermore digging into campaign level data and viewing conversion rates of critical events is very helpful in campaign optimisation.
- Hard to obtain certain visualizations - Need to have very good data
mixpanel is a great product but It's a bit difficult to implement on native Android apps compared to js or swift if you are a new developer.
MixPanel offers quite a lot of reports and features to delve into user behaviour and having the right breakdown of events and user properties is essential to ensure that we are looking at the right data. Learning MixPanel takes sometime and knowledge about event instrumentation, user attributes and properties and needless to say MixPanel is not a beginner friendly tool and it does require proper training.
