The most distinctive and valuable part of the product is the Otter AI Chat interface on its website. This interface can be used to ask questions, summarize or retrieve specific details about the notes that are transcribed from all historical meetings. This removes the need to dig through the detailed notes. I also appreciate that the meeting notes also provide the option to add action items after the meeting is completed and transcribed.

Otter captures notes even if I personally join the meeting or not. 1. non-dependency- Sometimes I have 2 meetings at same time. I couldn't attend the other one but my notetaker is there so I can go through it what discussed in the meeting. 2. Customized summary- It gives summary depending upon the call whether discovery call, BANT call, or regular team sync. 3. AI feature- I can ask AI chatbot if any specific information I'm looking for. For example, what are the KPIs discussed during this meeting?
The most common issue that we have experienced is that the transcribing is sometimes riddled with errors, especially when many people in the meeting are speaking fast, or when people have an accent. It sometimes misses specific segments of the conversation entirely. The other issue is the stringent time limit of 90 minutes, even when using the paid Pro plan, and the gap between Pro and Business plans is steep.
Sometimes the minutes miss key points in the transcript/recording.
1. Otter notetaker gets added to the zoom meet and appear on the screen. It should remain hidden. 2. On every call I hear- this meeting is now being recorded. Very unprofessional 3. It send multiple emails to all the attendees if them who have not accepted the invite or declined the invite.
