The system works with absolutely minimal education or training, the UX is so good anyone can log in and start getting insights. The cost is relatively cheap, and every new feature is solving active needs of their userbase (they don't just build in order to advertise new stuff). The support teams and company itself are fantastic. The company is also introducing new features that work outside their own tech stack. For instance, Quantum realized a lot of their customers use Adobe to power the front-end. Quantum then looked at issues customers run into with implementing adobe systems (like Customer Journey Analytics) and put out new features and functionality to help their userbase more easily implement adobe systems. It's a brilliant level of support.
I really liked the ability to capture (follow) users across devices
I particularly value the ability to review user sessions along with the detailed insights QM provides such as heatmaps, rage clicks, errors encountered, and more.
The system suffers issues with larger datasets or larger date ranges. The company heard the complaints in 2024 and has made performance a significant point of investment for them. The issues still persist, but the system offers suggestions to work around them (like suggesting specific shorter date ranges). Quantum Metric runs on javascript, so certain browsers and privacy settings can block the extension from firing correctly which leads to lost data. The implementation can also be finnicky, as accurate data capture means Quantum has to be one of the first scripts to load on your website/app.
Hard to differentiate from other similar platforms/tag manager connectivity seemed complicated/seeing 'value immediately' seemed like a bit of a stretch
Although the user interface is intuitive and the tool is generally user-friendly, gthe learning curve can be somewhat steep. It requires in-depth training to fully understand its capabilities and to know how to navigate it effectively. Especially when searching for specific insights. I have experience using digital analytics tools, but for someone less familiar with such platforms, QM may initially feel challenging to use.
