“Complex processes are well centralized, although the tool is not intuitive.”

Overall, our experience with SAP Commerce Cloud is positive, although it's a complex and demanding tool. It's a platform I consider very powerful for e-commerce, especially when you need something scalable and with many complex processes. It allows us to centralize a significant amount of the management of our product catalog, pricing, and business logic, but it's true that it's not a fast or easy tool to implement.

A good collaborative tool but not the most reliable to work with. Needs a lot of quirky ways to get things to work as expected

Performance of SAP Commerce Cloud Across Market Features

SAP Commerce Cloud Likes & Dislikes

Like

What we like most is its robustness and ability to manage more complex e-commerce structures. We can adapt virtually any part of the purchase flow, business rules, or product management. We also highly value its scalability. It's a platform designed to grow, and that becomes apparent when working with a large number of SKUs or even across multiple markets.

Like

lots of features and out of the box tools

Like

We are using the assortment logic which makes it possible to tailor each customers portfolio in an easy way. We like the assisted sales manager which helps our sales team to work in a transparent way with our customer Since we are using SAP as our ERP, it also comes with a lot of OOTB integrations towards our existing landscape

Dislike

What I like least is the overall complexity of the system. It's not an intuitive tool, nor is it quick to learn, and many things depend on technical development. It can also be expensive to implement and maintain. In day-to-day use, some tasks that would be simpler on other platforms require more steps or technical support here.

Dislike

IT seems very dated and hard to see it working correctly. When it breaks it is very hard to diagnose the issues.

Dislike

A bit poor when it comes to maintaining product prices in an easy way directly in the application/backoffice
