My overall experience with the Module has been mixed. On the positive side, it provides a single, centralized platform for managing risks, issues and controls and standardized workflows for improved consistency and traceability across teams. However, the solution often feels too rigid and is difficult to adopt a customized framework, many activities require too many clicks and navigation making common tasks feel slow and cumbersome.

Archer is a flexible and highly configurable risk management platform that allows organizations to tailor solutions to their needs. We have optimized this by building several use cases for non-traditional purposes, taking advantage of Archer's strong workflow and notification capability and applications for areas typically outside of Archer's suite of products. In our experience, Archer's customer service team is responsive and knowledgeable. Archer offers a premium success program which enables relationship building with your representative. This has proven invaluable in helping us solution several pain points. Archer does have a few limitations. New functionalities, often available due to acquisitions of other companies, can be rolled out too quickly, leaving some features underdeveloped or incomplete. Also, its user interface can feel outdated though their team is actively working on improvements utilizing customer input. Modernization of the platform is on the horizon which we eagerly anticipate. Overall, Archer is a strong choice for risk management with some caution for new features and an evolving user experience.

The product is marketed for its flexibility and the ease with which clients can customize their apps and reporting. I agree that the flexibility is a plus, but I have found the reporting and graphics to be subpar - clunky and not actually flexible in editing or additional needs. My biggest issue with the platform is that when you design your app, you have to really know how you want it to function and what type of reporting you want. If you don't, you cna end up with a lot of cumbersome workarounds and additional apps. This ends up making the whole process less than ideal and makes streamlined reporting very challenging.
