The tool is extremely flexible and powerful. Being able to have a single source of the truth on a sheet and generate multiple dashboards and reports for different user groups is key. The premium tools allow us to create applications in days that would require a developer weeks or months to duplicate.

For most users, Smartsheet is very easy to learn and use. For users who want to do more advanced work, there are lots of training videos and a great community group to share ideas. The reporting features are wonderful and create impressive dashboards to share with stakeholders.
The dashboard editor is very difficult and frustrating to manage. Having a way to allow a filter to control other widgets on the dashboard would put it up against Power BI and other reporting tools.
There is little data validation on the columns. The sheets are too limited for big data sets. Date shuttle is too expensive for what it does.
I don't like the new licensing. Before, we could have 'free' users update their project status in the sheets, but now they need a license which we can't afford, so each team has to have one main users to do all the updates.

I only gave 4 out of 5 due to the recent hiccups we are finding which are probably due to some massive changes in the architecture.
