1E/Teamviewer Dex has provided us an automation platform to identify and fix issues across the globe. In cases where further analysis is required post issues identification, the ability to craft log collection for any specific item is key to the resolution process.

Since SaaS this has been spotty at best. Some functionality from On-Prem does not work or in some cases does not exist in SaaS which is problematic. It works in some cases but other things like Inventory and Software reclaim is poor.

For our organization, the ability to script whatever we need in a Powershell like language has been significant in our Dex maturity model. With this capability, we're able to gather data globally using issue indicators, that allow us to identify the scale of any given issue in hours and minutes, not days, weeks or sometimes months.

The monitoring of all endpoint devices to help get to root causes in 10% of the time it normally would take without it. Managing desktops and laptops that are not always on our domain is a major win since now as long as they have a internet connection of any kind we can still manage that device and does not need to be connected via VPN Monitor and manage software with usage reports on all devices as well as reclaiming licensed software and or removal of software no longer allowed in our domain is key for compliance

all of the above. flexibility, yet absolute precission. no guessing or estimating. if you code the solution right it just delivers.

Dislike

Dashboarding has been a key weakness relative to competitors in this market and users of this product internally, believe they are better served by aa graphic than hard data.

I do wish there was more options on building out computer management groups. I wish we could have different used, unused and rarely used time frames for each product we build policy for on the reclaiming aspect of the product.

nothing i can thing of. all downsides come from our own custom solutions and we are to blame for it. not the product.

    Absolutely stunning array of capabilities and literarily endless possibilities of designs, solutions and automations

    The vendor service is stellar. we never feel left out. over the course of years they’ve also trained us to be self sufficient only asking for help when we are out of ideas. response time is quick, we always feel cherrished. as for the product. i have been using 1e/tachyon for over five years. i am confident in saying i have understood its capabilities and value it provides. i have built many self sufficient policies overseeing our 120k machine estate, i have build toast driven notification interactive campaigns, i have saved proxy settings from a failed intune config deployement, build a driver deployment campaign……i have a portfolio of over 50 policies. each special of its own and each seeving a purpose. it is not only about autonomous policies but also adhoc instructions. a swiss knife for ops to have direct and instant touch wirh remote machine wirhou having to ask for elevation. the only limit is that the agent runs locally. so reaching out to services or cloud is not possible withou providing credentials. but that is the design of things. i rarely find situations i cannot solve with 1e / tachyon. also, coding in scale is a breeze so you can basically deploy solutions wirhin minutes.

    The 1E / TeamViewer Platform which we operate via their SaaS offering. The platform is robust, offering capabilities that cover a broad range of our operational requirements including endpoint troubleshooting, application monitoring, device performance / stability and software asset management and reclaim. Many are best of breed and the remainder are very good, making the entire suite a product that allows us to manage our diverse fleet of devices with a tool that is powerful yet flexible.
