I am using Zylo for managing information about the company application inventory. Zylo became a source when we store financial, contract, and usage data of the applications. We fully use the available information there for our daily work on optimization. Zylo provides many new functionalities as well which enable the automation of some work such as usage connect, DI, workflows. Zylo helps us keep our software inventory optimized. I fully appreciate being in contact with Zylo representatives through slack channel. So, whenever something happens we can expect an immediate action on their side. Zylo team is open to our new ideas for expanding software use for our company and maximizing the benefits.

Zylo SaaS Management Platform Likes & Dislikes
The best part of the product is the fact that it enables analyzing the corporate software under different aspects like financial, utilization, contract based, ownership etc. I really appreciate that Zylo keeps developing and adding new features which improve the user experience. I find it very useful having different ways to apply usage data, so we can use different sources depending on the software specification in order to have the most accurate data. I also really like the dashboard section which enables presenting primary information about inventory. Having custom fields enabled we can add any dimensions we find useful for our company purpose in order to provide more detailed information on software level.

Obviously the visibility is our key use case for Zylo however the additional support and the negotiating tool (benchmark) is my biggest asset with Zylo.
When it comes to dashboard creation, that each widget has already determined its source, eg. For the renewal calendar widget we cannot use application inventory data, considering that we would like to create a renewal calendar but on software level not contract based. This is one constraint we find problematic. Also, we do not have the ability to merge and consolidate views in the dashboard, so we cannot merge information e.g. on a contract level with inventory. Also, while I need to merge instances of the application (because it got duplicated) and I want to transfer all payments and expanses to another instance I have to do it manually by each row, which took a lot of time for some cases.
Seems like lots of manual effort needed.
The reporting functionality in Zylo could be fleshed out more. Although it works for my needs, when other teams like Internal Audit need reports, it is a bit more work for me to cater to the data a specific team requires. Another dislike is the data hygiene, the data is great and within the systems but often can get clumped together or incorrectly with an example being the many products with Salesforce and sometimes it can be clumped under Salesforce or it can be a separate tool.

Customization and Application Tracking Are Simple While Contract Support Lags Behind

product is easy to use. easy to customize, helps us track the applications in use, and keep our data and contracts in one place.
disadvantages are that it might take a long time to update every new app - would be great to use AI capabilities here.
also, took us a very long time to reconcile the differences between what we saw in our financial systems and the information marked as expense in zylo

As a user, I find it extremely useful for gaining full visibility into all SAAS applications, including those purchased outside IT. The integration with all other major apps like M365 is seamless. Its auto-renewal alerts help avoid surprise costs, and analytics make it easy to identify unused licenses and optimize costs.
