Simplicity with its overall UI/UX design. Teams are able to adopt the tool quickly and be immediately productive.
We considered it as a candidate given its non-intimidating learning curve and boilerplate project examples. It was much easier to start a project in Asana The overall design aesthetic was way more pleasant to the eyes as well.
I like the visual workflow capabilities. I like the cross-functional alignment. The centralized feedback makes Asana attractive. Comes with great resource management features.
Asana has a bit of a closed ecosystem where there is usually only one custom app for any solution available, e.g. integration with Dropbox. While there are advantages to this approach, one downside is that options are very limited. If the one and only integration available does not work the way you need it to, there are no alternatives.
- Integrations are not as comprehensive as other platforms - Pricing was not competitive - Great for simpler projects, starts to fall flat as you grow your org and the nature of how teams operate changes
With Asana, there hasn't been pitfalls. Everything works.
