It's intuitive and allows for customisation at a deep level to suit your workflows and processes, while also not being dependent on customisation to get up and running effectively.
Asana has all the basics needed for project management. It seems to be leaning into new automations and AI, which has been especially useful for me.
I've tried several similar tools and this one is the best for cross-functional projects. It's very easy to make the same task visible across different projects/boards, which used to take several work-arounds in other softwares alike.
- The workload tool needs the ability to block out team member capacity for periods where they will be unavailable (i.e. planned PTO). There is a workaround for this, but there shouldn't need to be. - Inbox (which acts as the notifications centre for a user) needs a search function. I know you can technically use the global search, but it would be helpful to be able to specifically search for notifications that have come through your inbox. Inbox is probably the most underdeveloped part of the product overall.
There are a lot of features, but they don't integrate well with each other.

Easy to onboard & implement, customizes to team needs
We have been using Asana for about 2 years. It is easy to get new users up to speed and have received quick responses from the Asana support team when needed. We're happy with the level of customization offered to support our specific workflows. We were able to get up and running very quickly and then further tweak our usage over time.
