The critical part for me was making sure our systems were accessible and working no matter what machine is used, and with BeyondTrust I didnt have to worry if it was Windows or Mac. The remote control experience was the same. I only needed to learn one way of connecting, yet I could work on different machines right away. This took away a lot of the complexity and let me focus on making sure the systems were running properly, instead of wasting time figuring out different remote access methods. It really helped me spend my time on the actual work rather than figuring out how to remote into our systems.
We like that our technicians can store and submit recordings to managers and that it comes in a ready-to-deploy virtual appliance that is easy to deploy.
Three things I like about BeyondTrusts remote support tool are the ability to easily add new devices to your jump groups, it has amazing support for a wide variety of devices across computers and mobile devices, and finally you can specify privileges on both ends for agents and users.
The UX of the remote control could be improved, especially with the buttons and icons for features like remote copy or service checks. The buttons are quite small and not easy to notice. It would also be better if unsupported features were completely hidden instead of just greyed out, since this can cause confusion at first it looks like the function is available but not working, only to find out it isn't supported on certain OS versions.
We've had issues segmenting it properly to keep only those who need access while still making it available for public use, as our users can be unaffiliated with us
Although I think this product is mostly perfect there are some small issues, I have with it. Depending on the screen size difference on both devices causes it to sometimes be hard to read off the user's screen, some tabs inside the client like system information can be hard to look at due to it all just being displayed together making it feel cluttered, and finally the file transfer system can be confusing at times as well as sometimes when trying to transfer files it randomly renamed the file to a random assortment of numbers and letters.

Jump Groups and Policies Offer Strong Permission Controls For Remote Support Management
Remote Support has been a great experience. Being able to jump into endpoints and complete tasks both with the user and in the shell behind the scenes. The only hiccup we had was back in 24.1.1 when we had clients that went offline without notice and for no apparent reason. It was an easy fix since we use Tanium, we were able to have the service restart on-demand as needed. The automation piece has now been a game changer for us to perform mass jobs with little effort but still having visibility into who has completed the tasks. Overall, a really great product and a great experience.
