Zoho Assist has been an incredible addition to our toolbox. One of the biggest reasons for this is the ability to remotely support devices across Operating Systems, without needing to be on that specific OS. Being part of an institution that is mostly Windows OS, we found it difficult to provide remote support for other OS, but with Zoho, we can now remote in to support all of our users. Zoho has also provided us with an easy to use tool to push minor commands that helped fix issues quickly and easily.

I have 2 technicians and 150 or so computers in my Zoho organization and have used it for several years. Overall experience is okay but there were ongoing technical issues happening every now and then until about 6-12 months ago. It is now more stable. I would still like the manufacturer to add support for dual monitors displayed at the same time properly. The Windows native client (which everyone preffers over web client) cannot display 2 monitors in the same time, which is a tough pill to swallow for many Zoho users that need to access their computers remotely through Zoho. The web version supports it but it's not workable, rather very improvised. I hope things will go into right direction fairly soon.

Zoho Assist Likes & Dislikes

Like

Being able to support remote devices regardless of OS or which network the end user or myself are on. It is extremely helpful to be able to remote in to a non-Windows device from my Windows computer so that I can see what the end user is doing and help resolve their issues. Also, knowing that I only need an internet connection helps to make access and support that much more attainable. Along with this, it is nice that I can use my iPad to access remote sessions and continue to provide support.

Easyness of administering/managing remote access to a large number of computers

Clean Simple Interface, Ease of persistent remote access deployment access, remote support site is simple to direct cutomers to and get logged in.

Dislike

One of the biggest issues we ran into was deployment to Apple devices. The issue we had was setting up the devices in an unmanaged state, we couldn't simply run a silent install. Users still have to provide Admin privileges to approve screen sharing and remote capture. Since our end users do not have that level of permission on their device, we still had to touch each computer to finish the install. Another small issue we found initially was that Apple users could block the remote session and software if we had not set it up fully before we tried to connect. This caused issues with us not being able to provide the proper support.

Dislike

No direct phone support for Zoho assist. No 2 monitors through windows native client.

Dislike

There are few if any things I dislike... maybe the extra prompts before a remote session starts or the extra steps to get running on a mac, but those are more due to external forces than anything... maybe some of the restrictions on license levels, but thats more a function of my budget than anything, its a robust software for the level we pay for.
