Gem has been great for sourcing candidates, doing outreach, and helping us save time (AI features) as we hire for low complexity/high volume roles. It's Google integration has saved our team lots of time when it comes to scheduling and streamlining the recruiting process.
It's very easy to set up projects and manage prospects in each of them.
The UX needs to be refined and needs to be optimized to be ready for prime time.
Gem has an integration with Rippling (our HRIS), but it's a one way integration that has limitations. For example, Gem can push basic role and candidate details to Rippling for account onboarding (like name, contact info, department) but not any other information (like compensation, manager, etc). The biggest issue is that Gem won't even push through employment type, because it doesn't have the concept of exempt or non-exempt which is literally the bare minimum for recruiting.
Depending on the actions you're taking, it's sometimes a bit long. For example, some of my CSV files that I upload often take time to be fully uploaded.
