What I like most is that I can watch call recordings, get summaries, and see the transcripts. It's visually appealing and easy to use. I wish I had a tool like gong when I used to work as an SDR.

“Memory Database for Calls/Training Tool - Some Difficulty Integrating with SalesForce”

I can see why companies would want to use a tool like Gong. It has a lot of capabilities that can be helpful for training purposes or serve as a memory database for what happened between customers and sellers. One of the big downsides for me is the integration with Salesforce. It's clunky and a bit unreliable, which makes me hesitant to use it. To be fair, I don't know if that's on the Gong side or SalesForce side.

Gong Likes & Dislikes

Like

My favorite Gong feature is the integrates AI, which allows me to better prepare for my calls. As a Customer Success Manager, I can ask it about the entire history of the account I am advising. Also, because it's linked to other platforms we use, it provides the full context from Salesforce, Clari Groove, emails and all general previous interactions. This ensures I don't loose track of everything I discuss with the many clients I handle throughout the week.

Like

I like that it breaks down the percentage talk time. That alone is worth a lot for me because I use it to gauge myself. I prefer to talk less than my customer and if I'm not, it means I could have discovered more/listened more, which is a big component of sales.

Like

Gong's AI features are very good and provide accurate and reliable information. The Gong team is always ready and willing to support and answer any questions we have. They also had resources to help us enable our teams on how to use Gong. Finally, I appreciate how intuitive the interface is.

Dislike

It takes a lot of time to be able to review the call after it's done. One of my main activities is to update Gainsight with customer data reviewed in the call and I need at least to wait 1 hour. I have found that if my customer enters the Zoom reunion with other name, despite never addressing that customer with the name he has on zoom It asumes that is the name. I have to change it in every summary or trancription Gong gives me.

Dislike

Most of the time, it lags in syncing with SalesForce or straight up doesn't sync at all. This means that all my updates in Gong doesn't make it to SalesForce.

Dislike

I love Gong, so there isn't anything specifically that comes to mind. If anything, I'd say I want it to sync with LinkedIn and pull titles for people on the calls if we don't have that information in our customer relationship system.

    Gong Enables Better Customer Insights and Streamlined Post-Sale Processes

    Gong has transformed our sales to post-sale processes. We have been able to capture critical information about customers that previously we only got on an ad hoc basis. Now, our customer relationships have improved as we are able to go into meetings with customers knowing their use case, current issues, and awareness of each person's role in relation to the product. I also value the AI summary that Gong provides, it is usually spot on. We have also used tracking to help us identify customers for opportunities that they would be a good candidate for.
