MS Teams is a great tool to have message chats, video or audio talk, screen sharing. We even have the phone integrated with MS Teams and it works well. We use it every day and it has become one of the most important tools in our user community, especially when many users are working remotely.

Storage Capacity and overall features

Like

Microsoft 365 is the most effective digital application suite for business that I've ever used. The applications are robust and feature rich. AI integrations are already in place and improving. Cross platform compatibility for applications works extremely well between MacOS, iOS, Android, and Windows. App deployment is always simple and streamlined. From an admin perspective, the portals offer clear and effective organization. It is functionally reliable such that unless there is an outage we virtually experience no inconsistencies when things are properly configured. Admin center has pretty good logging for troubleshooting. There is a lot of online documentation for configurations. For multi-tenant collaboration, Microsoft 365 works extremely well. If multiple organizations are using Microsoft 365, then you can generally collaborate in a secure and efficient manner regardless of their digital environment, since everything is built off the same software architecture.

Dislike

MS Teams works great and integrates with our phone system once it is set up. I can receive calls on my computer or my smart phone. I can answer a call on either device. Voice mail also works very well on computers and mobile devices. Please note that the initial set up will take some time and a new implementation of Teams/Phone integration needs to be planned and coordinated to have a smooth transition. You need to have good network connections of course. Please note that an old computer with not enough CPU or memory might have slow performance on MS Teams.

Dislike

Poor training support combined with software bugs that make features misbehave.

Dislike

Product support is notoriously the worst. We have had tickets unacknowledged for weeks, even after submitting follow-ups. Support agents may not fully answer questions even when repeated. Even with all the help of online resources, the Microsoft learning center is FLOODED with so much unnecessary information making it difficult to even determine if an article is applicable to your issue. Many changes and issues are also left undocumented. There are several basic features that are just subpar in a number of applications. Microsoft is a very large company so it's unlikely that they will really absorb and implement individual user feedback. Newer applications have eliminated useful features. Service performance can be unexpectedly inconsistent. Even when there is no outage, things can break when interacting with Web vs Desktop apps. There can be long loading times only to error out without any real information. Error codes are sometimes vague and difficult to troubleshoot.

What Your Peers Are Saying About Microsoft 365

Director of Architecture
I am looking for some suggestions on Project Management Solutions. This solution should provide things like: - Support both Waterfall and Agile methodologies - Automation workflows - Task Breakdowns - Integrates with Microsoft 365 technology stack.   We are a $10B Financial Institution currently using SmartSheet looking to evaluate a newer and more scalable solution.
Director of Operations
Azure DevOps has decent connectivity with Microsoft365.  While it's not designed for waterfall, there's nothing that prevents you from using it that way.  There's a plethora of plugins and customizations that may help you do what you want.  I agree with Pranay below, there may not be one single provider that can check all the boxes.

What is the roadmap and future development plans of Copilot for Microsoft 365 and the alternative AI tools?
Information Security Analyst
We have been quite aware over three years regarding the benefit of AI tools and services.  The city started doing Chatbot POC's in 2022 and since then deployed 2 Chatbots (our external Denver website) and (internal city TS Support). Both of those solutions are SaaS. We are allowing Github for CoPilot for our city TS developers/contractors.  CoPilot for Microsoft Office 365 is under review considering the investment for licenses.   We also did a citywide inventory of systems that already have or will soon have AI features.  We also utilize the AWS Platform.
